What is Gluteoplasty or Buttock Augmentation in the Dominican Republic?
Buttock Augmentation, also known as Gluteoplasty, is a cosmetic surgery aimed at increasing the volume and improving the shape of the buttocks. It is intended for women who wish to enhance this area of their body to achieve a more attractive and proportionate silhouette. This procedure has become increasingly popular and can be performed using silicone implants or fat transfer, achieving harmonious and natural results with the rest of the body.
In addition to its impact on the figure, Gluteoplasty also has a strong emotional component, as many patients experience a significant boost in their self-esteem and personal confidence by achieving firmer, more defined buttocks with greater projection.

What should I know and expect from Gluteoplasty or Buttock Augmentation in the Dominican Republic?
Before the procedure
To ensure the best results, the surgeon will recommend discontinuing 20 days before the procedure the use of medications that increase the risk of bleeding, such as aspirin, vitamin E, and ginseng. In addition, tobacco, alcohol, and ginger tea should be avoided. It is also important to inform the specialist if you are taking any other medication or if you have experienced any health issues, such as fever or diarrhea, in the days leading up to the procedure.
During the procedure
The procedure is performed under spinal or epidural anesthesia, with hospitalization typically lasting between 12 and 24 hours. The incision or entry points for the cannulas are made along the midline between the buttocks, allowing the scar to remain discreetly hidden. The implant is placed in the intramuscular plane in a superior position, preventing it from being felt to the touch and producing an aesthetic result that naturally harmonizes the buttocks with the rest of the body.
After the procedure
During the first 7 days, the patient should remain lying face down to avoid any pressure or trauma to the treated area. After this period, she can gradually begin to sit and lie on her back as the swelling decreases. Pain relievers and antibiotics are prescribed for postoperative care, along with massages and ultrasound therapy to support recovery. In some cases, a drain is placed for 24 to 48 hours to prevent fluid accumulation.
